Heavy Civil – Earthwork Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Generate comprehensive construction estimates utilizing HeavyBid software.

• Execute takeoffs with the help of Civil 3D and AgTech/screen takeoff tools.

• Develop insightful estimates featuring custom unit pricing instead of relying on template-based green sheets.

• Estimate large civil projects, encompassing earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and light structural tasks.

• Assist in scaling the business and fostering project expansion.

• Collaborate closely with company leadership on estimating strategies.

• Engage in hands-on collaboration and apply strategic problem-solving techniques.

• Deliver precise estimates based on construction methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–18+ years of experience in estimating, particularly in heavy civil/earthwork.

• Proficient English speaker with strong communication skills.

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree.

• Previous experience in the U.S. market (either domestic or remote).

• Senior or mid-level mindset coupled with independent problem-solving capabilities.

• Reside in Latin America or Central America.

• Familiarity with HeavyBid software or experience with Bid to Win.

• Background in earthwork/heavy civil construction.

• Capability to work full-time remotely on U.S. Mountain Time.

• Portfolio or references demonstrating complex earthwork/civil project estimates.

• Ability to critically analyze estimates rather than mechanically applying unit prices.

• Independence as a contractor is requested/considered.

• Resume should be formatted in English.
