Production Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assess commercial construction tenders from quantity take-off to pre-submission.

• Perform quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings using tools such as Cubit Estimating Software, Bluebeam, and others.

• Utilize project-specific labor schedules and supplier pricing to create comprehensive cost build-ups.

• Develop trade breakdowns, inclusions, exclusions, pricing assumptions, bid forms, returnable schedules, and pricing schedules.

• Identify cost risks, scope gaps, ambiguities, and document deficiencies, raising queries with relevant teams.

• Solicit pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, issue RFQs, follow up on quotations, and evaluate returned pricing.

• Confirm lead times, craneage, logistics constraints, access limitations, and onboarding requirements.

• Draft tender clarifications, risk notes, program assumptions, and compliance responses.

• Maintain version control of tender documents and adhere to internal and external deadlines.

• Monitor tender outcomes and keep the Estimating Register updated.

• Address post-tender clarifications and adjust pricing as necessary.

• Create project handover documentation for awarded projects.

• Assist Contract Administration with scope breakdowns for project claim formats.

• Operate during Australian business hours aligned with Loganholme office AEST.

• Participate in daily and weekly Microsoft Teams meetings, providing written updates on progress.

• Utilize SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and Cubit for centralized, version-controlled, and auditable work.

• Report daily to the Estimating Manager and promptly escalate any blockers or risks to deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Building & Construction, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a dedicated estimating role.

• Proven experience estimating to Australian commercial construction standards, measurement conventions, and documentation.

• Preference for Australian industry experience; equivalent offshore experience pricing Australian projects will be considered.

• The primary role should focus on estimating rather than project management, site engineering, or contract administration, with some incidental estimating exposure.

• Familiarity with live construction sites or commercial construction environments is highly regarded.

• Previous remote work experience for an Australian or overseas-based employer, or as part of a distributed team, is highly valued.

• Must be legally entitled to work in the Philippines.

• This role is based in the Philippines and does not provide Australian work rights, visa sponsorship, or relocation assistance.
