Senior ERP Software Engineer – UniBasic, MultiValue

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acquire a thorough understanding of Trilogie's architecture and its functionalities.

• Create and develop software solutions that automate, enhance, or transform business processes.

• Manage projects from inception to completion, adhering to Ferguson's Software Development Lifecycle.

• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and Product Owners to define requirements and design scalable solutions.

• Work alongside the Administration Team to architect scalable application environments.

• Partner with third-party software providers to ensure that solutions align with Ferguson's requirements.

• Write unit tests, perform peer code reviews, and provide precise estimates to meet project deadlines.

• Foster a collaborative, shared-learning atmosphere among peers, team leads, and supervisors.

• Assist in the transition of Trilogie from Unix to Linux.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience with UniBasic or another Pick-based programming language.

• Proficiency in developing interactive screens and phantom processes.

• Experience in integrating applications using APIs or web services.

• Familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server databases.

• Knowledge in designing dictionaries for multi-valued file systems.

• Experience working with multi-level files and triggers.

• Background in developing within a multi-server, high-transaction environment.

• Ability to write and optimize code for performance.

• Capability to compose complex UniQuery statements (preferred).

• Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration (preferred).

• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (preferred).

• Experience with Python (preferred).

• Quality assurance experience (preferred).

• Familiarity with Unix and Linux systems (preferred).

• Competence in Excel and data manipulation (preferred).

• Experience with relational databases, including Oracle and SQL Server (preferred).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences (preferred).
