Senior ERP Functional Business Analyst – HRM, Payroll

📋 Description

• Act as a Senior ERP Functional Business Analyst (HRM/Payroll) for ERP initiatives catering to government clients.

• Facilitate business process workshops and requirements sessions to outline future-state HR and Payroll solutions.

• Organize and oversee functional activities and resources to produce functional specifications, process documentation, and project outputs.

• Conduct fit-gap analysis to assess current business workflows and design enhanced future-state HR and Payroll processes.

• Create business concepts and functional designs that align with client requirements and ERP capabilities.

• Analyze and troubleshoot functional issues while supporting project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Develop and implement strategies for Unit, System Integration, End-to-End, and User Acceptance Testing.

• Design, validate, and enhance HR, Payroll, and Business Intelligence reports, dashboards, and analytics.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to organize workshops, facilitate discussions, and offer advisory support.

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate HR and Payroll processes with Finance, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and other enterprise functions.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to junior analysts.

• Advocate for best practices and ongoing process improvement.

• Assist in the modernization of government technology systems and practices for public-sector clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in implementing ERP solutions such as CGI Advantage, SAP, Workday, or PeopleSoft, with a significant emphasis on HR and Payroll processes.

• Experience in finance is advantageous.

• Strong preference for experience with CGI Advantage and knowledge of public sector ERP implementations.

• Experience with Agile implementations; Agile certifications (e.g., SAFE) are preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to support business process re-engineering, organizational change management, and cross-functional initiatives.

• Capability to quickly attain proficiency in CGI's government ERP solutions and adapt to changing project environments.

• Willingness and ability to travel within the US West region as necessary.

• Understanding of at least five key ERP areas, including Benefits, Benefits Administration, Employee Records, HR reporting including ACA compliance, Payroll, Finance, Compensation, Labor Relations, Staffing Management, Talent Management, Recruiting, Payroll Accounting, Retirement, and W-2/W-4 Tax Reporting.

• Experience with ERP systems such as CGI Advantage, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or Workday.

• Some technical knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Ability to lead and execute functional activities across all SDLC phases.

• Skill in facilitating requirements gathering and translating business needs into functional designs, user stories, and project outputs.

• Ability to develop test plans, coordinate test execution, and assist in defect resolution.

• Capacity to lead peer reviews and collaborate with stakeholders.

• Ability to analyze HR and Payroll business challenges, identify root causes, and propose solutions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, presentation, and mentoring skills.

• Capability to collaborate within virtual and cross-functional teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a high degree of self-motivation.

• Team-oriented with a robust customer service mindset.

• Experience in supporting change management and process improvement initiatives.

• Familiarity with User Centered Design principles.

• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and project team members.

• Remote candidates must be willing to work PST hours.

• Must successfully pass a background investigation for U.S. employment.
