Senior Epicor ERP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support solutions utilizing Epicor Kinetic.

• Create BPM directives, data directives, Epicor Functions, BAQs, dashboards, reports, customizations, and Application Studio layers.

• Convert business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions that adhere to Epicor standards and enterprise architecture.

• Take ownership of end-to-end technical design, encompassing data flow, business logic, security, error handling, deployment, rollback, monitoring, and support documentation.

• Review customizations and assess technical debt, recommending corrections, simplifications, retirements, replacements, or standard Epicor functionality.

• Analyze Epicor releases, patches, and Kinetic capabilities.

• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Sales, Customer Care, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, Parts, Service, Warranty, and other business teams.

• Lead or participate in discovery and requirements sessions.

• Document functional requirements, technical specifications, process impacts, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria.

• Offer solution recommendations and elucidate operational and technical trade-offs.

• Coordinate user acceptance testing and secure business approval prior to production deployment.

• Develop and support integrations using Epicor REST services, APIs, webhooks, OData, middleware, and secure file exchange.

• Assist with integrations related to e-commerce, payment, tax, CRM, EDI, warehouse, shipping, reporting, and financial systems.

• Generate BAQs, data extracts, reports, and interfaces while ensuring data integrity.

• Establish logging, reconciliation, alerting, and recovery procedures.

• Adhere to and enhance software development lifecycle, change control, source control, peer review, testing, release, and production support practices.

• Maintain technical documentation and a precise inventory of Epicor solution components.

• Act as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, performance issues, data errors, failed integrations, and production defects.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.

• Engage in ticket triage, provide estimates and status updates, and prioritize tasks based on business impact.

• Collaborate with Epicor Support, implementation partners, and vendors while maintaining internal ownership.

• Support maintenance, upgrades, deployments, and critical business periods.

• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, development standards, and mentorship.

• Estimate effort, identify risks, and communicate delivery concerns to IT leadership and stakeholders.

• Contribute to the Epicor roadmap and ERP evaluation initiatives.

• Foster knowledge transfer across the IT team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Epicor Kinetic or Epicor ERP 10/11, including BPMs, data directives, Epicor Functions, BAQs, dashboards, reporting, REST services, security, and deployment practices.

• Proficient in C#/.NET and SQL.

• Experience in designing, debugging, and supporting production business applications.

• Familiarity with building and supporting enterprise integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, OData, middleware, or secure file-based interfaces.

• Experience in gathering requirements, creating technical designs, conducting unit and integration testing, supporting user acceptance testing, and managing controlled production releases.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure dependencies, and business processes.

• Capacity to clearly articulate technical issues and solution options to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong ownership, judgment, organization, documentation, and follow-through skills.

• Preferred: Experience with Epicor Kinetic SaaS/cloud environments, Application Studio, Epicor Automation Studio, and practices related to Epicor upgrade-readiness.

• Preferred: Background in supporting manufacturing, distribution, inventory, order management, purchasing, service, warranty, finance, or field-service operations.

• Preferred: Experience with EDI transactions and trading-partner integrations.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SSRS, Power BI, Azure services, source control, DevOps pipelines, and structured release management.

• Preferred: Knowledge of financial controls, audit requirements, role-based security, segregation of duties, and data governance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

• Seven or more years of ERP development experience, including at least five years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP development and support.

• Epicor certification or comparable advanced Epicor implementation experience.

• Availability to participate in scheduled maintenance, production deployments, or urgent issue resolution outside of normal business hours.

• Occasional travel to other LaundryLux offices in the US as necessary.
