This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Lead, analyze, and design PODS's Enterprise Information Architecture.
• Develop a comprehensive view and strategic roadmap for the Company's technology initiatives, processes, and information technology plans.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to align technical solutions with the company's goals and mission.
• Deliver blueprints and designs for Information Architecture that are in line with functional IA roadmaps.
• Advocate for the importance and benefits of Information Architecture design and governance to both IT and business teams.
• Independently initiate and coordinate teams for complex technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and prototyping exercises.
• Design and document data flows throughout the organization.
• Create data models for analytics and reporting, evaluating their practicality.
• Collaborate with business data governance teams to establish standards for master, reference, and structural data.
• Work alongside solution architects on data integration and service architectures.
• Identify architectural designs and change requirements that support targeted business objectives.
• Establish and document strategic standards for enterprise application architecture across various platforms and development teams.
• Oversee the mapping of enterprise information architecture models to packaged application models and assess the suitability of vendor solutions.
• Ensure that the business data and information needs are fulfilled through intentional information architecture.
• Document infrastructure architecture environments and procedures.
• Create blueprints for data architecture, including multi-year transitions and recommendations for transformation and modernization.
• Re-engineer and maintain a comprehensive view of data across business systems.
• Analyze information requirements from user communities and design corresponding data structures.
• Champion enterprise information solutions, including MDM, metadata management, analytics, content management, and data integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related field.
• A minimum of 12+ years of enterprise-level experience in areas such as data architecture, database design, or business intelligence.
• At least 12 years of experience in a company or governmental agency with a minimum of 300 employees (private sector) or 500 employees (governmental agency).
• 7+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
• Qualifications in Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ZF is advantageous.
• Expert knowledge and practical experience with MDM, BI, data warehouse design, and implementation techniques.
• Familiarity with industry-standard middleware, ETL, master data hubs, and service-oriented architecture design and delivery solutions.
• Experience with BI and analytics architectures, including traditional warehousing, distributed computing, NoSQL, virtualization, or data streaming.
• Experience in defining Information Architectures for cloud-based solutions and technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Azure SQL, Cassandra, and Cosmos.
• Understanding and hands-on experience with ERWin or other industry-standard modeling tools for OLTP and OLAP data models and implementation.
• Knowledge of domain modeling, business process data flows, business information modeling, entity flow diagrams, common information models, and Master Data Management.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure Stack.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing data management capabilities, including Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, and Data Governance.
