This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Oversee and nurture several engineering teams focused on essential Servicing products.
• Develop and implement multi-quarter technical and engineering strategies that align with Servicing and overall company objectives.
• Collaborate with Product and cross-functional leaders to convert borrower and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Promote architectural clarity and informed technical decision-making within complex systems.
• Foster a culture of ownership, execution, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers and aspiring engineering leaders.
• Create transparency around technical priorities, delivery risks, trade-offs, and roadmap execution.
• Manage a team of over 12 engineers across two engineering squads.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Operations to develop robust, scalable systems that balance speed, reliability, and compliance.
• Report directly to a Senior Director of Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in software engineering, with 4–7 years in managerial engineering roles.
• Profound technical knowledge in distributed systems, APIs, and systems design.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams in regulated sectors such as fintech, payments, or lending.
• Proven ability to define and implement complex technical strategies in alignment with business objectives.
• Strong history of building high-performing teams and guiding engineering leaders.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Experience in developing technology within fintech, lending, payments, servicing, or other regulated environments (preferred).
• Over 7 years of engineering management experience (preferred).
• Experience leading both product-focused and platform-oriented engineering teams (preferred).
• Strong product acumen and capability to link technical decisions to business outcomes (preferred).
• Experience in modernizing or evolving complex technical platforms while continuously delivering customer-facing features (preferred).
• Experience collaborating with Product, Design, Operations, Risk, or other business functions (preferred).
• Familiarity with the application of AI or automation in customer experiences, internal workflows, or operational systems (preferred).
• Ability to operate in East/West Coast time zones.
• For positions based in Canada, Quebec is currently not eligible.
