Senior Engineering Manager, Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of platform engineers specializing in Infrastructure, DevOps, and Developer Experience.

• Establish the technical direction for platform architecture and ensure the execution of the roadmap.

• Balance immediate delivery needs with long-term investments in tools, infrastructure, and reliability.

• Manage cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tools within a regulated setting.

• Design and create AI-enhanced internal tools and agentic workflows.

• Enhance developer productivity throughout onboarding, CI/CD processes, and local-to-production workflows.

• Ensure that systems are secure, scalable, observable, and resilient.

• Take ownership of incident management practices, postmortem analyses, and the sustainability of on-call rotations.

• Collaborate effectively with product engineering, security, and compliance teams.

• Link platform initiatives to business objectives and customer impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE positions.

• More than 3 years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

• Proficient with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tools, and GitOps.

• Experience in operating production systems and participating in on-call rotations.

• Capable of establishing technical direction in developer experience and infrastructure.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a focus on business impact.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools for development, debugging, and continuous learning.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Bonus: experience in fintech or similar regulated industries.

• Bonus: prior experience as a Staff or Senior Engineer before transitioning to management.
