This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and implement the long-term technical strategy and roadmap.
• Uphold operational excellence, ensure high availability, and maintain robust software engineering practices.
• Propel continuous enhancement in system resilience, operational metrics, and platform performance.
• Integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Oversee the secure integration of AI technologies and agentic workflows.
• Advocate for security architecture, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Create career advancement paths and promote an inclusive culture.
• Empower engineers to take ownership of quality, platform health, and technical innovation.
• Collaborate with Product Management and executive leadership on feature delivery, technical debt, stability, and security trade-offs.
• Engage with executive stakeholders, enterprise customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Convert customer usage patterns and operational feedback into engineering priorities and platform guardrails.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations in containerization and cloud security.
• Foster the adoption of modern tools and methodologies.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.
• A degree in software engineering, computer engineering, or information technology may also be appropriate.
• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience in leading or managing engineering teams within commercial software ecosystems.
• Strong technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native infrastructure, secure SDLC practices, and operational metrics in enterprise production settings.
• Proven success in attracting, hiring, and developing engineering talent.
• Experience in setting technical vision and establishing standards for operational excellence.
• Experience in guiding engineering teams through complex deliverables.
• Excellent communication abilities, including clearly and concisely presenting technical information.
• Capability to collaborate with stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and managing engineering managers or team leads is preferred.
