This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead two engineering teams within the Clinical Division.
• Oversee the engineering health, delivery, and technical direction of the clinician order pipeline and the patient continuity experience.
• Manage engineers ranging from mid-level to staff, including daily management, career development, performance assessment, and technical training.
• Establish performance metrics, provide constructive feedback, conduct evaluations, build cases for promotion, and address any underperformance issues.
• Cultivate tech leads and senior engineers.
• Take ownership of team objectives and roadmap execution; eliminate obstacles and enhance delivery methodologies.
• Enhance the effective utilization of AI tools, such as agentic coding, repo-native tooling, MCP servers, as well as review and testing acceleration.
• Collaborate with two Product Managers and two designers on scope, technical costs, user value, exploration, and delivery.
• Evaluate Architecture Decision Documents and perform pre-launch risk assessments.
• Lead technical exploration, feasibility assessments, and capacity estimations.
• Engage in PR reviews, design discussions, and incident retrospectives.
• Advocate for agile engineering methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and robust software architecture.
• Act as the primary liaison with Product, Design, clinical stakeholders, and leadership.
• At least 5 years of management experience, including overseeing multiple teams or managing through technical leads.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering software within a production setting.
• Proven success as a performance manager: evidence of advancing engineers to the next level and managing underperformance directly.
• Professional experience with open-source programming languages.
• Practical knowledge of contemporary AI development tools and experience with driving team adoption.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
