Senior Manager – Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage intricate software development projects.

• Coordinate various development activities that support web services, software deployment, and partner framework integrations.

• Set project goals, technical policies, procedures, roadmaps, and work plans.

• Assign tasks to team members involved in the project.

• Lead Agile sprint teams in the planning, prioritization, and delivery of software features.

• Supervise the development of system and software architecture, system requirements, and technical design tasks.

• Direct modernization initiatives for transaction monitoring and sanction screening systems.

• Create and implement models and standardized procedures for high-volume payment, AML, and foreign exchange operations.

• Assess, adjust, and define methods and procedures for new project assignments.

• Contribute to the complete cycle of web application and middleware development, which includes requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Manage strategies for database data retrieval.

• Formulate data migration plans to support system upgrades and integrations.

• Report to Convera’s headquarters.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent foreign qualification in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field, along with 8 years of experience in a relevant role.

• A Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience in a related field is considered acceptable in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience.

• Proficiency in project planning tools such as Smart Sheet.

• Experience in database design utilizing SQL and NoSQL.

• Familiarity with SQL Server and Oracle databases.

• Knowledge of C# and .Net core.

• Experience with ETL tools like SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.

• Skilled in analytics tools such as Business Object, QlikView, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

• Understanding of test-driven development and CI/CD software engineering practices.

• Experience with methodologies, practices, and tools related to Waterfall, SCRUM, and Agile.

• Familiarity with software development life-cycle tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Experience with code version control systems like GIT or SVN.
