Engineering Manager, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand a global team of engineers focused on creating tools for deploying, observing, and maintaining a highly available cloud platform at an immense scale.

• Manage and mentor a team of 3 to 6 full-stack engineers.

• Provide technical direction and oversight for code reviews.

• Guide a remote-first team in the development of APIs and user interfaces using Go and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement roadmaps and priorities.

• Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Foster team culture and support individual professional growth.

• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

• Contribute to technical decision-making and architectural discussions.

• Develop and manage CrowdStrike's internal cloud management platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US citizen or a Green Card holder.

• Over 3 years of experience in people management, specifically leading software engineering teams.

• In-depth hands-on experience with Golang, capable of providing technical guidance.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and contemporary web technologies.

• Familiarity with gRPC and RESTful API development.

• Experience with modern single-page application frameworks and development methodologies.

• Understanding of Linux environments and cloud-native infrastructure.

• Background in operating within cloud platforms, ideally AWS.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies.

• Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring, and fundamental hiring processes.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and drive business results.

• Experience in Python software development.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• History of managing distributed or remote teams.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Prior experience in infrastructure or platform engineering domains.

• Willingness to undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint checks in accordance with government customer requirements.
