This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers through coaching, performance management, career development planning, and regular feedback.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that meets business objectives and customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, system design, scalability, security, and engineering best practices.
• Oversee planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Utilize AI Software Development methods to achieve departmental SDLC goals and objectives.
• Set engineering standards, development processes, code review practices, testing strategies, and operational procedures.
• Assist teams in identifying and overcoming technical challenges and unblocking complex efforts.
• Monitor team health, delivery performance, and velocity while enhancing engineering effectiveness.
• Lead recruitment, workforce planning, and onboarding to grow and scale engineering teams.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and stakeholders across various functions and time zones.
• Act as an escalation point for critical production issues, coordinating incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution.
• Establish operational readiness practices, including support models, on-call processes, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the long-term technology strategy and roadmap planning.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in an engineering management, team lead, or technical leadership position.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams to deliver complex software products and initiatives.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, system design, and contemporary development practices.
• Experience managing engineers through hiring processes, performance reviews, coaching, career development, and employee engagement.
• Ability to collaborate with Product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing decisions across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in supporting production environments, incident management processes, and operational excellence practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to cultivate team culture, drive accountability, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Preferred: experience in leading distributed or remote engineering teams.
• Preferred: experience with cloud-based SaaS platforms and modern software development methodologies.
• Preferred: familiarity with modern AI-driven Software Development best practices.
• Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Preferred: experience in mission-critical or customer-facing software environments.
• Preferred: exposure to mobile, web, and/or platform engineering teams.
• Preferred: experience evaluating technology investments, architectural trade-offs, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Must be authorized to work for any US employer in the United States.
