Manager, Software Engineering – Marketplace Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate the technical strategy for the team with a long-term focus spanning one year.

• Align the team's strategy with critical projects that significantly impact the business.

• Engage with product management, design, and analytics throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

• Define and champion technical solutions as well as operational processes.

• Oversee team operations and availability, which includes monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting.

• Set standards for code reviews and design, promoting quality across teams through writing and technical talks.

• Foster team talent by providing feedback, guidance, and exemplifying best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.

• Proficient in Python or Kotlin.

• Significant experience in creating highly available distributed systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.

• Experience in developing consumer-facing applications using React.

• At least 2 years of experience in Ad Tech or similar platforms.

• Proven track record of delivering major features, system components, or phasing out existing functionality through technical and execution plans.

• Ability to comprehend low-level language idioms and large system architectures.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
