Senior Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as a key member of the engineering leadership team, focusing on enhancing the culture and strategy of software delivery.

• Remain actively engaged by writing code and developing products within an engineering pod.

• Provide coaching and mentorship to engineers while aiding in the establishment of clearer career pathways.

• Collaborate with the CTO and other engineering leaders to shape technical architecture and make critical decisions.

• Recruit and nurture talented engineers as the team expands.

• Advocate for AI-driven engineering practices based on robust fundamentals.

• Partner closely with product teams and the broader business to meet client requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience, demonstrating a successful history of leading engineering teams.

• Proficient technical skills, with recent hands-on experience in writing production-level code.

• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineers.

• Extensive technical knowledge across the entire stack, with advanced expertise in at least one specific area.

• Strong skills in system design and architecture.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools and insights into how they transform team dynamics.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Experience in a rapidly growing B2B SaaS organization (preferred).

• Background in developing solutions for enterprise clients, ideally in regulated sectors (preferred).

• Experience in designing career frameworks or engineering level structures (preferred).

• History of managing remote or distributed teams (preferred).
