This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Develop Reactor Modification Tooling that integrates mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical/motor actuation systems.

β€’ Create fabrication drawings and oversee the construction and testing of the designed tooling.

β€’ Generate 3D models, conduct access and clearance evaluations, and prepare drawings, specifications, and test plans.

β€’ Work collaboratively with teams from Hardware, Analysis, Field Deployment, and Services Business.

β€’ Conduct design reviews alongside engineering colleagues and leadership.

β€’ Document tooling operation procedures for field deployment personnel.

β€’ Offer immediate issue support to clients during Outage Season by delivering technical advice and facilitating a rapid design, build, and test process.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

β€’ At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design and testing, with proficiency in 2D drawings and 3D modeling.

β€’ 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry.

β€’ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

β€’ Capability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if required.

β€’ Strong mechanical skills and knowledge.

β€’ Experience with the entire design evolution process, from concept creation to delivery.

β€’ Understanding of cost-effective design and manufacturability principles.

β€’ Familiarity with conventional machining, welding, and EDM processes.

β€’ Ability to interpret and convey technical information to engineers, project managers, product managers, and leadership.

β€’ Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and execution as an engineer or engineering team leader.

β€’ Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects.

β€’ Preferred experience and understanding of nuclear reactor components within the nuclear industry.
