This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Operate independently with moderate oversight or as part of project teams.

• Execute calculations using mechanical engineering principles, procedures, and standards.

• Conduct analyses and create technical reports along with other engineering documentation.

• Formulate calculations and designs for ship propulsion and auxiliary systems.

• Draft technical purchase specifications for major equipment.

• Assist engineering efforts related to main and auxiliary propulsion, fuel, lubrication, seawater, freshwater, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

• Contribute to the design, analysis, and integration of marine mechanical systems for naval and maritime platforms.

• Aid in ship design, system development, and lifecycle engineering initiatives.

• Travel around 10% to support specific clients and contracts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

• Over 2 years of relevant experience.

• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid systems, or shipboard systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work efficiently in a team setting.

• Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office applications.

• Must be eligible for a security clearance.

• Preferred: experience in marine, naval, or defense engineering.

• Preferred: More than 3 years of experience in ship design, piping, HVAC, propulsion support, or auxiliary mechanical systems.

• Preferred: Professional Engineering or Engineer in Training certification in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant discipline.

• Preferred: familiarity with industry-standard computer-aided design and engineering analysis software tools.

• Preferred: exposure to U.S. Navy, shipbuilding, or maritime industry standards.
