Senior Engineer I, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with software development and implementation teams to build and sustain infrastructure.

• Create, develop, and manage Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Leverage GitHub Copilot and Claude to enhance automation of infrastructure, CI/CD development, and ensure code quality.

• Implement AI-first methodologies throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

• Utilize AI-driven platforms for incident detection, triage, and response management.

• Assess and adopt new AI tools to enhance efficiency and minimize operational burdens.

• Develop scripts and automation tools to simplify repetitive tasks.

• Oversee source code repositories with Git and foster collaborative coding practices.

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or CircleCI.

• Deploy and manage applications in containers using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Establish monitoring and logging solutions, including dashboards and alerts.

• Construct and manage scalable, resilient infrastructure on AWS.

• Analyze and optimize cloud expenditures using cloud cost management tools.

• Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and cross-functional teams.

• Create and update documentation related to infrastructure, deployment, and troubleshooting.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and application performance.

• Provide support to various teams as needed.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both relational and NoSQL database technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in infrastructure maintenance and collaboration with software development teams.

• Expertise in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Proficiency in MS Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

• Strong knowledge of Jenkins or CircleCI.

• Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Proficiency with GitHub Copilot and Claude.

• Understanding of AI-first development practices and the integration of AI tools into DevOps workflows.

• Solid understanding of security principles along with experience in implementing security measures.

• Proficiency in AWS services.

• Experience in understanding and managing cloud costs effectively.

• Knowledge of AWS IAM or Azure Active Directory.

• Strong experience with networking, DNS, SSL, and storage technologies.

• Experience in creating architecture diagrams using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.

• Familiarity with database systems including Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

• Flexibility in schedule and working hours is essential.

• Willingness to travel extensively (60% travel required).

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is a plus.
