This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Create, develop, and evaluate platform-independent GUI applications for Windows, OS X, and Linux.
• Incorporate GUI applications with both wired and wireless communication protocol stacks and embedded firmware systems within professional audio products.
• Engage in all phases of software development.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, testing engineering, and systems engineering to define use cases, requirements, and software testing protocols.
• Develop prototype GUI application software utilizing technologies such as Angular.
• Participate in architecture, design, coding, integration, and testing processes.
• Investigate and provide insights on adopting new application technologies and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
• Integrate and test both proprietary and non-proprietary networking communication protocols.
• Estimate, organize, and document tasks effectively.
• Review designs and code from peer engineers to uphold software quality standards.
• Guide junior staff members on technical task organization, estimation, and prioritization.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in application development.
• A robust portfolio showcasing successfully completed projects.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, GraphQL, RxJS, NgRx, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with Nx monorepos, Electron, and Node.js, including native addons.
• Skilled in using git, Sourcetree, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and SVN.
• Experience with AngularJS/Angular materials and GraphQL schemas, queries, mutations, and subscriptions.
• Strong grasp of design patterns, application architecture, SOLID principles, and Jasmine/Jest unit testing.
• Experience in developing interfaces using WebSockets.
• Familiarity with the full software development life cycle management.
• Proficient in executing projects utilizing agile methodologies.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and frameworks such as NRWL.
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
