This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, offering guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
• Collaborate with managers to address conflicts, mediate disputes, and suggest corrective measures.
• Tackle performance, conduct, attendance, and behavioral issues in partnership with leaders and HR Business Partners.
• Conduct timely, thorough, and unbiased workplace investigations.
• Collect and evaluate evidence through interviews, document reviews, and investigations.
• Prepare summaries and documentation of investigations.
• Work alongside Human Resources, Legal, and business leaders to address employee relations challenges.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and HR Business Partners.
• Keep records of employee relations cases, investigations, and their outcomes.
• Manage disability and religious accommodation requests from initial intake to resolution.
• Facilitate and document the interactive accommodation process while evaluating reasonable accommodations and undue burdens.
• Monitor the effectiveness and compliance of approved accommodations.
• Advise on performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and coaching techniques.
• Assess corrective actions and termination decisions for employee relations risks, legal compliance, uniformity, and documentation adequacy.
• Identify employment law risks related to discrimination, retaliation, leave, accommodation, wage and hour issues, and similar matters.
• Offer risk mitigation advice and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and policies.
• Create and implement programs for employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
• Analyze trends in employee relations and propose proactive workplace solutions.
• Design and deliver training sessions and workshops for managers and employees.
• Foster positive employee experiences as a cultural ambassador.
• Solid understanding of employment laws, labor relations, and HR best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience in conducting moderate to complex workplace investigations.
• Familiarity with managing ADA and religious accommodation requests.
• High levels of integrity, confidentiality, judgment, and discretion.
• Strong analytical, interviewing, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to inform decisions and offer recommendations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and case management tools.
• Experience with Workday is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employment Law, or a related discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Significant professional experience in a relevant field may substitute for formal education.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, workplace investigations, accommodations administration, or a related area.
• Experience supporting a multi-state workforce.
• Remote work with occasional business travel.
