This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Supervise the daily functions of the benefits team.
β’ Manage employee benefits programs, which include health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
β’ Provide support to the benefits team and management regarding policies, procedures, and practices related to Benefits, Leave Management, and Human Resources.
β’ Evaluate, document, and enhance HR/Benefits processes and workflows.
β’ Collaborate with the HR/Benefits Director to establish departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
β’ Authorize time off and PTO requests for the benefits team.
β’ Assist with the performance management, development, and evaluation of the benefits team.
β’ Maintain benefit records and address benefits-related inquiries.
β’ Prepare and present compliance reports and data analysis, including EEO-1 and ACA reports.
β’ Act as the primary liaison for carriers, vendors, and brokers.
β’ Address escalated or complex benefit inquiries and provide direction on policies, procedures, and regulations.
β’ Coordinate with brokers and carriers to procure and disseminate benefit resource materials.
β’ Support the Total Rewards Director during open enrollment.
β’ Conduct new hire orientations and benefits refresher training sessions.
β’ Oversee and maintain the 401K retirement plan.
β’ Develop SOPs and training plans, and facilitate departmental training.
β’ Process FMLA, PPL, and other statutory leave requests related to benefits and premium payments.
β’ Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company best practices.
β’ Conduct monthly audits of insurance invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
β’ Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
β’ At least 4 years of experience in Human Resources, specifically focused on Benefits.
β’ Proficient in HRIS and other HR software applications.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of Benefit/HR laws and regulations.
β’ Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken.
β’ Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.
β’ Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Capable of collaborating in a team environment while upholding confidentiality.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
β’ Ability to use discretion and independent judgment in analyzing and resolving work-related issues.
β’ Strong sense of urgency with the ability to self-motivate and adapt.
β’ One year of experience in the staffing industry is preferred.
β’ PHR, aPHR, SHRM-CP, GBA, or CEBS Certification and prior leadership experience are advantageous.
β’ Ability to effectively communicate and interact through various mediums such as telephone, email, video conferencing, and face-to-face meetings.
β’ Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and hearing acuity to operate office equipment.
β’ Capacity to sit for extended periods at a keyboard and workstation.
