This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee a team of material and supply planners within a specific category.
• Ensure that mid- to long-term production and material strategies are established for designated plants and lines.
• Develop comprehensive short- and long-term end-to-end supply chain plans for both internally and externally sourced items.
• Manage, mentor, and cultivate the growth of the team.
• Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer fill rate, finished goods inventory goals, and waste reduction targets.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing, marketing, sales, materials, and replenishment departments.
• Ensure performance aligns with master and detailed schedules, long-range plans, capacity considerations, and material requirement plans utilizing system tools.
• Engage in supply review preparation and escalate any issues that arise.
• Support and implement planning enhancements aimed at boosting customer fill rate, inventory targets, and minimizing waste.
• Participate in and/or lead supply review meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is mandatory.
• A degree in Business, Operations Management, Planning, Logistics, or a similar field is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
• Extensive experience in supply chain, economics, finance, or logistics is essential.
• Strong business acumen, particularly in an FMCG/CPG setting, is preferred.
• Proven experience in facilitating supply reviews and participating in an Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle.
• Familiarity with best practices in supply planning and end-to-end supply chain concepts is necessary.
• A readiness to learn new methodologies and be actively engaged with data and systems is expected.
• Capability to influence cross-functional teams and enhance planning processes.
• Proficiency in building cohesive teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
