Senior Electrical Engineer – R&D Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold the electrical technical standards for StarLiquid.

• Conduct and assess electrical designs and calculations for transformers.

• Analyze factory designs to optimize cost, materials, and performance.

• Review requests for changes and formulate technically validated solutions.

• Assist with the implementation and testing within CDS, Electrical, and other related engineering systems.

• Ensure adherence to StarLiquid requirements and relevant international standards such as IEC, IEEE, GB, and CSA.

• Provide technical support and assistance to global factories regarding StarLiquid implementation and related issues.

• Develop technical documentation and offer training and engineering assistance.

• Collaborate with teams in electrical, mechanical, R&D, manufacturing, quality, and software.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

• At least 8 years of experience in designing liquid-filled distribution transformers using CDS Electrical, NG CDSe, or similar transformer design software.

• Familiarity with StarLiquid, StarX, Design Anywhere Manufacture Anywhere principles, or similar global engineering standardization platforms.

• Experience in design-to-value, value engineering, cost optimization, or product-platform development.

• Background in the development and implementation of global technical standards.

• Experience conducting factory engineering audits, design reviews, technical peer reviews, or design system validations.

• Understanding of transformer manufacturing processes and the interfaces between electrical and mechanical design.

• Experience supporting distributed transformer factories and multicultural engineering teams.

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps or a similar structured requirements and change management system.

• Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI, engineering document management systems, and controlled technical publication processes.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% of the year.
