
Senior Electrical Engineer – Executive Aircraft Seating

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the electrical lead for aircraft seating projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with both customer and internal requirements.
• Design, integrate, and validate electrical systems for seat actuation, lighting, comfort, and in-flight entertainment features.
• Develop and maintain system block diagrams, pin-to-pin wiring diagrams, harness designs, 3D electrical routing models, and 2D electrical installation schematics.
• Assist in the creation of technical documentation following internal standards and aerospace regulations.
• Lead design and peer review sessions, presenting technical solutions during customer milestone evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to integrate electrical components into seating assemblies.
• Support OEM and regulatory certification processes, including compliance with Airbus, Boeing, FAA, and EASA standards.
• Work alongside Supply Chain and external suppliers on component selection, design assessments, qualification, and readiness for production.
• Engage in prototype and production seat constructions, continuous improvement efforts, design evaluations, and product lifecycle management.
• Assist in testing and troubleshooting at the component, subassembly, and complete seat levels.
• Investigate production and field issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person; lawful permanent resident, protected individual, U.S. citizen, U.S. national, refugee, or asylee.
• Proven experience in fast-paced settings managing projects of varying complexity to achieve cost and schedule goals.
• Experience in leading teams and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Background in electrical system integration, validation testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in Teamcenter 14, Siemens NX, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and vendor component datasheets.
• Ability to create block diagrams, cable/harness drawings, parts lists, and installation schematics.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting utilizing multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related testing equipment.
• Preferred: advanced experience in aircraft seating electrical system design, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and certification.
• Preferred: knowledge of Boeing D283W604, D6-36440, Airbus X2521PTSI09010, X2520 M1F 0012 00, and X2521PTSF11001 specifications.
• Preferred: proficiency in Siemens NX Electrical Application/Cable Routing modules.
• Preferred: familiarity with FAA/EASA certification processes and DO-160, DO-178, and ARP5526.
• Preferred: experience in harness manufacturing, including soldering and crimping.
• Preferred: experience mentoring early-career engineers.
• Preferred: excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Preferred: capacity to work across high-level system concepts and detailed technical implementations.
