RF Electrical Engineer, Antenna Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Choose antennas and determine their placement on the airframe, docks, and ground systems.

• Design and evaluate RF-related PCB circuitry and layouts.

• Assess RF performance, coverage, and interference among subsystems.

• Collaborate with mechanical and harness engineers on antenna mounting and cable routing.

• Organize and assist with RF testing and validation; document findings.

• Oversee antenna selection and placement throughout the entire system and assist with related PCB design tasks for a drone delivery system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in RF engineering.

• Experience in PCB design is essential.

• Practical experience in antenna selection and integration.

• Solid understanding of RF fundamentals: link budgets, impedance matching, and radiation patterns.

• Knowledge of the aerospace regulatory landscape (FAA airworthiness standards) and RF compliance (e.g., FCC).

• Experience with UAV or aerospace products is preferred.

• Familiarity with RF simulation tools like HFSS or CST is preferred.

• Experience with RF test equipment such as VNA and spectrum analyzers is preferred.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States based on the specified locations.
