
Senior Electrical Engineer – Executive Aircraft Seating

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the electrical lead on aircraft seating projects from initiation to finalization.
• Guarantee timely delivery, staying within budget, while meeting both customer and internal specifications.
• Design, integrate, and validate electrical systems concerning seat actuation, lighting, comfort, and in-flight entertainment.
• Develop and maintain system block diagrams, pin-to-pin wiring diagrams, harness designs, 3D electrical routing models, and 2D electrical installation drawings.
• Assist in creating technical documentation that complies with internal protocols and aerospace standards.
• Lead design and peer reviews, presenting technical solutions during customer milestone assessments.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to incorporate electrical components into seat assemblies.
• Aid in OEM and regulatory certification efforts, adhering to Airbus, Boeing, FAA, and EASA criteria.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and external vendors on component selection, design evaluations, qualification, and readiness for production.
• Engage in prototype and production seat assemblies, continuous improvement initiatives, design reviews, and lifecycle product support.
• Provide support for testing and troubleshooting at the component, subassembly, and full-seat levels.
• Examine production and field-related issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures.
• Adapt and enhance features, functionalities, and in-flight entertainment systems for executive aviation passenger seats.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person; eligible for access to ITAR or 600/500-series EAR information or hardware.
• Proven experience in fast-paced environments, managing projects of varying complexities to achieve cost and scheduling goals.
• Demonstrated leadership in team settings and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience in electrical system integration, validation testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in Teamcenter 14, Siemens NX, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and vendor component datasheets effectively.
• Experience in generating technical documentation, including block diagrams, cable/harness designs, parts lists, and installation schematics.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related testing instruments.
• Preferred: advanced knowledge in aircraft seating electrical system design, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and certification.
• Preferred: understanding of Boeing D283W604, D6-36440, Airbus X2521PTSI09010, X2520 M1F 0012 00, and X2521PTSF11001 specifications.
• Preferred: expertise in Siemens NX Electrical Application/Cable Routing modules.
• Preferred: awareness of FAA/EASA certification processes and standards such as DO-160, DO-178, and ARP5526.
• Preferred: experience in harness manufacturing, including soldering and crimping techniques.
• Preferred: experience in mentoring junior engineers.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to navigate between high-level system concepts and detailed technical execution.
