Senior EDI Mumps Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain software solutions within a legacy MUMPS / Caché environment.

• Execute coding, unit testing, and debugging to facilitate ongoing system improvements and maintenance.

• Work in conjunction with business analysts to convert requirements into technical solutions and assist with requirements analysis.

• Aid in system, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Engage in Beta (IOC) testing activities with active medical centers, including resolving issues.

• Offer continuous production support and troubleshooting for deployed applications.

• Document technical designs, processes, and system behaviors thoroughly.

• Operate both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team to achieve project deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing and supporting applications in MUMPS / InterSystems Caché.

• Background in supporting legacy healthcare systems.

• Expertise in software design, coding, and unit testing.

• Experience in direct interaction with customers or end users.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and adhere to deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

• Familiarity with Microsoft products (e.g., Windows, Office, Excel).

• 10 years of relevant software development experience.

• Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) systems, including VistA and FileMan.

• Knowledge of healthcare messaging standards: HL7 and/or FHIR.

• Experience with EDI transaction sets, particularly 278 Prior Authorizations and 275 Attachments.

• Background in supporting or integrating with financial systems.

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

• Experience in healthcare or government systems.

• Exposure to system integration projects within regulated environments.

• Experience in supporting long-lived, critical applications.
