This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the medical lead for LC-FAOD, MPS VII, and MPS IIIA, responsible for the regional implementation of the global medical strategy and timely execution of US tactical plans that align with brand strategies and lifecycle priorities.
• Participate in the UX111 US medical launch team, creating and overseeing a comprehensive medical launch plan in collaboration with Field Medical and Gene Therapy Treatment Teams.
• Establish and achieve strategic objectives that demonstrate a measurable impact on medical affairs and business results.
• Lead or execute US data generation initiatives that align with the integrated evidence plan and US medical needs, including the dissemination of evidence.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders, incorporating their insights into strategic planning.
• Facilitate collaborations on advisory boards, QTC connect meetings, and payer education initiatives.
• Provide expertise in disease areas and products, ensuring precise and consistent communication of clinical and scientific data.
• Oversee the US conference strategy, which includes scientific education symposia and events for healthcare professionals.
• Work with the US field medical team from the generation of strategic insights through to actionable outcomes.
• Create scientific resources such as slide decks, FAQs, and educational materials for the US field teams.
• Represent US Medical and contribute to the Global Medical Strategy Team, ensuring that US insights inform global strategies.
• Offer medical and scientific expertise for promotional and non-promotional materials, as well as medical affairs review committees, ensuring scientific accuracy, strategic alignment, appropriateness, and compliance with US regulations.
• Collaborate with Global Medical and cross-functional partners, including commercialization, patient advocacy, clinical development, HEOR, diagnostics, scientific communications, publications, and regulatory teams.
• MD with specialty training in metabolic genetics and rare disease expertise, or PhD with substantial relevant experience in LC-FAOD and MPSs.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, particularly in US medical affairs.
• Strong preference for demonstrated experience in developing and executing medical launch strategies within the US market.
• Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to navigate ambiguous situations while collaborating cross-functionally on complex initiatives.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Proven capacity to take initiative and effectively manage the successful execution of complex projects.
• Highly analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to identify interdependencies and comprehend broader program and organizational goals.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for conveying scientific and strategic concepts.
• Proactive, highly organized, and adept at managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
