This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the technology delivery deputy to the VP, responsible for daily execution, operational efficiency, delivery governance, and managing escalations.
• Oversee application development, automation, platform development, integration delivery, release management, and application support for clinical business solutions.
• Convert business strategies, product roadmaps, requirements, and priorities into actionable delivery plans, estimates, staffing models, milestones, and measurable results.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and solution architecture to ensure alignment of solutions with architecture, security, data, integration, resiliency, and technology standards.
• Establish and implement software development lifecycle practices utilizing Agile, DevOps, testing, change control, release management, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Take ownership of delivery commitments and portfolio execution across scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, quality, financial performance, and stakeholder communication.
• Direct the execution of automation strategies, focusing on workflow automation, process optimization, reusable capabilities, controls, monitoring, and sustainable support models.
• Provide interim leadership for the platform development team; recruit, onboard, and mentor the future manager.
• Manage application support and service operations, including incidents, problems, requests, changes, releases, root cause analysis, service levels, availability, and continuous improvement.
• Create dashboards and conduct operating reviews to monitor delivery, throughput, quality, technical debt, application health, service levels, incidents, customer satisfaction, capacity, and financial performance.
• Balance development efforts, enhancements, production support, regulatory requirements, technical debt, platform lifecycle, and modernization priorities.
• Develop capacity, workforce, succession, and sourcing plans covering employees, contractors, managed services, and vendors.
• Lead and nurture managers, technical leads, engineers, developers, automation specialists, analysts, and support staff.
• Manage technology vendors and delivery partners, overseeing performance, statements of work, deliverables, service levels, financials, risks, and corrective actions.
• Ensure that solutions and support processes meet security, privacy, HIPAA, audit, data governance, business continuity, and regulatory standards.
• Deliver executive-level reporting, recommendations, decision support, and escalation of critical risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and delivery challenges.
• Promote continuous improvement, standardization, automation, and reuse to enhance delivery speed, quality, reliability, transparency, and business value.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, healthcare administration, or a related discipline; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
• Over 12 years of progressive experience in technology delivery, software engineering, application development, automation, platform operations, or application support.
• More than 7 years of experience leading managers and multidisciplinary technical teams in an enterprise setting.
• Responsible for a substantial application or technology portfolio, encompassing delivery, operations, budgets, vendors, workforce planning, and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Extensive knowledge of application development, automation, integrations, APIs, cloud and hosted platforms, DevOps, testing, release management, observability, and production support.
• Strong proficiency in portfolio, program, project, financial, resource, vendor, risk, and service management disciplines.
• Capability to translate strategy and business priorities into actionable delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate across solution management, enterprise project management, enterprise architecture, engineering, operations, security, data, and business teams.
• Possess executive presence along with outstanding verbal, written, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Skill in building, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams, as well as developing managers and technical leaders.
• A master’s degree and relevant certifications are desirable.
• Experience in healthcare technology and regulated-platforms is highly preferred.
• Background in enterprise transformation, platform modernization, vendor implementations, operating model development, SAFe Agile leadership, and organizational change is favored.
• Familiarity with healthcare privacy, security, compliance, clinical, and revenue cycle operations is strongly preferred.
