This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +8 more states.
• Oversee the reimbursement landscape for Ipsen products within the Neuroscience therapeutic area in the healthcare provider sector.
• Cultivate relationships with local Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs).
• Offer field-based reimbursement assistance to designated healthcare providers for Ipsen’s neurology therapies.
• Interpret local and national payer policies and aid customers in coding, coverage, and payment issues.
• Collaborate with Value & Access, field, sales, brand, and IPSEN CARES teams to enhance access and minimize obstacles.
• Create and implement reimbursement strategies, tactics, tools, and approved field materials.
• Build and sustain connections with MAC contacts.
• Provide reimbursement assistance at advisory boards and professional conferences.
• Act as an internal field reimbursement authority and furnish competitive intelligence.
• Supply reimbursement details regarding coverage, coding, and payment policies across relevant payers.
• Organize presentations at payer and healthcare provider meetings.
• Achieve metrics for timely and suitable customer reimbursement support.
• Assist in the strategic analysis of local payer coverage policy changes.
• Counsel Account Managers on payer access challenges and trends.
• Support reimbursement-related training initiatives for healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with Neuroscience teams to recognize and address reimbursement and access challenges impacting adoption and growth.
• Facilitate strategic initiatives utilizing field-based access intelligence.
• Analyze treatment patterns, referral networks, payer coverage trends, and site-of-care dynamics.
• Aid in launch readiness for new neurology assets, encompassing reimbursement, coding, and patient access evaluations.
• Provide market insights on payer policies, utilization management, specialty pharmacy, and competitive access during launches.
• Monitor neurology market access, payer policies, prior authorization, step therapy, coding, payment, and specialty pharmacy trends.
• Track competitive reimbursement and access developments and offer recommendations.
• Analyze changes in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
• Develop relationships with neurology practice administrators, reimbursement specialists, infusion center leaders, and advocacy groups.
• Support provider education and strategic conversations on reimbursement and market access.
• Contribute to forecasting, lifecycle management, evidence dissemination, and future product planning.
• Assist in developing reimbursement resources, training programs, and field tools.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting industry.
• At least 5 years of relevant reimbursement experience with injectable or infused drugs, or medical device products requiring reimbursement support.
• Advanced knowledge of coverage, coding, and payment policies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Strong business, analytical, administrative, and team-building skills.
• Ability to convey complex messages and rationales clearly and in compliance.
• Capacity to work independently and lead effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed environment.
• Exemplary personal integrity and ethics; sound judgment and discretion.
• Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, texting, mobile smartphone, Veeva CRM, and Concur.
• Physical capability to operate relevant machines and/or equipment as required.
• Willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.
• Ability to manage a large geographic territory and operate effectively from a home office, vehicle, or customer location.
• Willingness to travel for business up to 60%, including regular overnight travel by air or car.
• Must live within reasonable distance of a major airport in the region.
• A bachelor's degree in public policy, economics, business administration, life sciences, or a related field is required.
