Director, Workplace Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee facilities operations, maintenance, workplace services, and building management activities.

• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, accessibility, and regulatory standards.

• Administer the organization's leased real estate portfolio, encompassing leases, acquisitions, renewals, and disposals.

• Manage capital assets related to facilities.

• Formulate and implement space planning, strategic facility forecasting, and workplace strategies.

• Supervise and manage facility construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.

• Administer budgets, forecast expenses, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

• Oversee office operations staff responsible for reception, visitor management, employee services, meeting support, and event assistance.

• Direct vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service-level performance oversight.

• Create business continuity and facility risk management plans.

• Lead workplace services staff and cultivate a high-performance team culture.

• Ensure an outstanding workplace experience for employees and visitors at NuScale locations.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related discipline.

• Professional certification (CFM or equivalent) is required.

• Project management certification (PMP) is preferred.

• A decade or more of experience in workplace operations.

• Experience in managing leased facilities, workplace operations, and strategic planning.

• At least five years of experience leading a multi-location team.

• Proven ability to manage projects across multiple facilities simultaneously.

• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

• Strong communication skills via phone, personal interaction, and digital platforms.

• Quick learner who can adapt to new job functions and concepts in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to travel internationally, nationally, and locally using various modes of transportation.

• Capable of sitting, standing, walking, bending, operating office equipment, and reaching with hands and arms.
