This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead essential initiatives within Business Cards and Payments to facilitate the integration of the Brex acquisition.
• Incorporate Brex’s B2B software into Capital One’s ecosystem.
• Establish a technical program management framework for the Business Cards and Payments sector, covering both Personal Liability and Corporate Liability Cards.
• Guide and nurture the development of TPM leaders.
• Promote a high-performance culture centered on technical excellence and accountability in delivery.
• Recognize and address technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Spearhead technology-oriented discussions with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for technology-related decisions.
• Ensure execution, accountability, and results across intricate programs.
• Work collaboratively across product, engineering, design, data science, and various organizational boundaries.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in managing technical programs.
• Strong technical expertise, preferably in developing highly scalable platforms, products, or services.
• Proven experience in identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience in building and leading exceptional technical program management teams.
• Capability to lead technology-focused discussions with senior leadership.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
• Quantitative mindset towards problem-solving and systems thinking.
• Proficiency in growing and developing a team of TPMs while establishing a robust TPM practice.
• Skill in simplifying complex technical topics and facilitating decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science.
• Intense focus on execution, accountability, and achieving results.
• Ability to collaborate across various functions, organizations, and reporting lines.
• Well-developed emotional intelligence, active listening, and empathy towards teams and partners.
• Over 9 years of experience in designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing distributed systems and highly available services utilizing cloud computing architecture, preferably AWS.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building and leading experienced TPM teams.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing highly scalable mobile products and platforms.
• Five or more years of experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• At least 5 years of experience in delivering large and complex programs.
• Experience in constructing systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment.
