This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and influence the company's strategic direction through innovative ideas, strategic memos, and initiative proposals.
• Engage in executive leadership meetings, identifying cross-functional risks and opportunities.
• Anticipate the needs of the CEO and President by preparing content for the executive leadership team and board.
• Lead the annual strategy process, from theme gathering and charters to strategy memos, decision gates, and executive strategy sessions.
• Establish and oversee strategic initiatives, including charters, sponsors, accountable leads, plans, and success measures.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and decisions, providing clear recommendations for escalation.
• Mentor initiative leads on structuring problems, conducting root-cause analysis, and producing decision-ready documentation.
• Personally spearhead one or two high-priority initiatives or special projects each year.
• Facilitate and manage the monthly business review with the CEO, President, and company leaders.
• Conduct Strategy-led forums, such as the weekly AI program standup, initiative readouts, and critical issue tracking.
• Prepare and rigorously test materials for the executive leadership team, board, board committees, and private equity sponsors.
• Monitor decisions and actions to completion, creating succinct meeting summaries.
• Identify and assess potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships; assist with sourcing, diligence, and integration.
• Oversee external advisors and specialists from the statement of work through final presentations.
• Conduct market and competitive intelligence, including competitor performance, market studies, and the impact of AI on the market.
• Co-lead the Executive Advisory Council, linking client insights to strategic and initiative priorities.
• Influence changes to the operating model and oversee assigned transformation programs.
• Establish an AI-enabled strategy office featuring dashboards, agents, and automated summaries.
• Represent the Strategy team across executive and senior leadership teams, stepping in for the SVP and CSO as necessary.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategy operations, consulting, corporate development, or a chief-of-staff role, with at least 3 years working directly with C-suite executives.
• Proven experience in managing an enterprise planning or strategic initiative process across multiple functions, including portfolio governance, decision gates, and executive readouts.
• Demonstrated original strategic thinking that has shifted a company’s direction, offerings, or operating model.
• Strong problem-solving skills and financial acumen: familiarity with business cases, P&L and EBITDA impacts, contract economics, and investment theses.
• Executive-level communication skills, ranging from comprehensive six-page narrative memos to concise one-slide board summaries.
• Ability to lead without formal authority and ensure accountability among senior leaders.
• Professional presence to engage as both a listener and contributor in senior leadership meetings, exercising discretion in sharing information.
• Strong program management skills, including the ability to develop charters, plans, risk logs, and status reports.
• Proficiency with AI productivity tools, data analysis, and dashboards.
• High level of discretion with confidential information, including transactions, board matters, and personnel issues.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, primarily for executive strategy sessions, advisory council meetings, client engagements, and acquisition diligence.
• Preferred: MBA or an equivalent graduate degree.
• Preferred: Experience in IT or managed services, mainframe or hybrid cloud, or enterprise B2B technology.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience with M&A, joint ventures, or partnerships, including due diligence and integration.
• Preferred: Experience in a private equity-backed organization, including board and investor reporting.
• Preferred: Experience managing a customer advisory board or executive client program.
