This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.
β’ Guide Baker Tilly and client resources in defining strategies, envisioning future states, developing target operating models, and delivering transformation projects.
β’ Leverage finance, accounting, industry, and operational expertise to align client organizations with their strategic objectives and establish target operating frameworks.
β’ Create operational metrics, outline roles and responsibilities, and design organizational structures.
β’ Standardize finance processes, oversee contract financial compliance, and document policies and procedures.
β’ Establish reporting structures and effective governance frameworks.
β’ Assess current conditions, identify gaps, and offer strategic recommendations to enhance and mature operating models.
β’ Develop, manage, and evaluate project approaches and plans throughout the analyze, design, build, test, and deploy phases.
β’ Gather and articulate requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and site visits.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal financial regulations while mitigating financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
β’ Oversee and execute multiple projects, coordinating staffing resources, deadlines, and end-user expectations.
β’ Document business cases, business requirements, implementation strategies, and project specifications.
β’ Manage relationships with third-party vendors.
β’ Communicate among executive committee members, stakeholders, and development teams while identifying and addressing project risks and issues.
β’ Contribute to practice development, go-to-market initiatives, delivery methodology standards, and team growth.
β’ Foster internal and external relationships with clients and the community.
β’ Encourage the professional development of team members and clients through the Baker Tilly Value Architect model.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
β’ At least twelve (12) years of related experience.
β’ Proven experience managing senior-level client relationships and collaborating across organizations with various stakeholders.
β’ Extensive finance and accounting knowledge with a demonstrated history of assisting clients in optimizing and enhancing their finance functions.
β’ Capacity to lead and supervise others while providing outstanding client service.
β’ Skill in breaking down scope into detailed activities and deliverables, as well as executing work package transitions.
β’ Ability to manage multiple projects or initiatives concurrently.
β’ Creative problem-solving skills acquired through previous experience, education, or training.
β’ Proven management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, communication abilities, and highly developed Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
β’ Project experience encompassing the complete application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, use case development, system analysis and design, integration, testing, and deployment.
β’ Familiarity with enterprise technology system implementation and management.
β’ Willingness to travel as needed and work beyond standard business hours for client engagements.
β’ Project/program management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP) and/or Agile certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, SAFe POPM) is an advantage.
