Senior Director, Property & Asset Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the strategic leader responsible for overseeing property management and occupier services for a substantial healthcare system's ambulatory real estate portfolio.

• Serve as the primary advocate and landlord liaison for leased facilities.

• Provide thorough property management oversight for owned assets.

• Support leadership goals and objectives while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and an enhanced occupant experience.

• Offer strategic oversight across a multi-regional portfolio through a comprehensive business plan.

• Evolve property management services, engage with existing client relationships, and foster new ones.

• Develop system-wide policies, procedures, quality standards, and best practices.

• Strengthen strategic partnerships with clients and deliver innovative solutions.

• Collaborate with senior account team members and Senior Directors within JLL WDX and Markets.

• Create budgets, perform variance analysis, optimize tenant improvement allowances, track expenses, manage cost recovery, and enhance revenue.

• Monitor and minimize outstanding accounts receivable across the client-owned portfolio.

• Source and provide benchmarking and operational performance metrics while developing improvement strategies.

• Lead regional property managers and property administrators across various properties.

• Build and nurture high-performing teams, offer mentorship, and support career development.

• Manage tenant and landlord relationships, ensure lease compliance, resolve issues, advocate for occupants, and coordinate improvements and space modifications.

• Coordinate operational activities across both owned and leased assets.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

• Implement and maintain property management technology platforms and reporting systems.

• Collaborate with lease administration, transaction management, facilities management, and other cross-functional teams.

• Lead or take part in complex change management initiatives.

• Participate in account-service expansion, business development, new revenue initiatives, and M&A integration.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• Over 10 years of progressive commercial property management experience, preferably in healthcare or medical office settings.

• At least 5 years in leadership roles managing property management teams and multi-site portfolios.

• Demonstrated skills in property management and building operations.

• Experience collaborating with corporate clients to meet real estate performance objectives.

• Proven history of managing tenant and landlord relationships while delivering occupier services.

• Experience in budget management, financial analysis, and portfolio optimization.

• Strong leadership and team development abilities.

• Capability to manage a team of dedicated property managers with varying levels of experience.

• Ability to lead and coach diverse teams while identifying and nurturing top talent.

• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

• Financial acumen with experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Proficiency with property management technology platforms.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement operational enhancements.

• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

• A real estate brokerage or salesperson license is required.

• Professional certifications (CPM, RPA, or similar) are a plus.

• The position must be based in California.

• Travel is required to managed properties across multiple regions.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
