This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the strategic roadmap for PowerSchool’s Product portfolio.
• Drive the development and execution of the roadmap.
• Supervise a team of product management specialists.
• Evaluate product needs and opportunities through research and feasibility studies.
• Collect and analyze competitive intelligence data for product lines.
• Engage in product modifications, support cost reduction, margin analysis, forecasting, product positioning, and pricing strategies.
• Ensure that roadmap plans are in alignment with the portfolio vision, business objectives, market demands, and the competitive landscape.
• Act as a senior product authority and a vital resource for clients, prospects, and partners.
• Collaborate with Sales and Project Management to gather and document business requirements.
• Lead the drafting and organization of comprehensive business requirements for product and project initiatives.
• Partner with data operations and engineering teams to implement projects and roadmap items.
• Contribute to the formulation of go-to-market strategies.
• Keep updated on evolving industry regulations impacting product development.
• At least 12+ years of relevant experience in the field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications, or corresponding years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 15-20% of the time.
• Subject to company on-call policies, including the possibility of working outside regular hours as necessary.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams and managers.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in managing other professionals, including performance reviews and evaluations.
• At least 5-7 years of product management experience with progressive advancement in management and leadership roles.
• Familiarity with K12 District needs in the classroom setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle models.
• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects/products concurrently.
• Outstanding customer-facing abilities.
• Proven capacity to effectively manage and lead others.
• Competence in coaching others.
• Ability to meet stringent time management requirements.
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a team and exhibit leadership through influence rather than authority.
