This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Manage the relationship with Home Depot as the primary account representative for Woodstream.
• Take full responsibility for profit-and-loss metrics, including revenue, gross margin, and trade investment goals.
• Develop a long-term strategy and growth plan for the account.
• Oversee annual line reviews, joint business planning, pricing negotiations, promotional discussions, new item presentations, and resolution of escalated issues.
• Discover new business and whitespace opportunities to enhance market share and revenue.
• Act as the main point of contact for Home Depot's merchants, merchandising leadership, and supply chain teams.
• Keep the VP of Sales updated on account performance, potential risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Create and present annual joint business plans, line reviews, promotional calendars, and new product launches.
• Manage trade spending and promotional budgets, including handling deductions, chargebacks, and claim resolutions.
• Ensure the execution of merchandising, planogram, and display initiatives, including seasonal displays, endcaps, and point-of-purchase materials.
• Track and report on competitor pricing, promotions, new items, and changes in shelf space.
• Lead negotiations for annual customer terms, pricing adjustments, and program agreements.
• Foster and maintain relationships throughout all levels of the customer organization.
• Attend customer meetings, events, and trade shows as required.
• Collaborate across various business functions to address customer and business challenges.
• Oversee forecasting and annual budget planning processes.
• Identify opportunities to boost incremental sales revenue or reduce costs.
• Perform additional duties and support projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 12+ years of experience in consumer products sales, category management, or national account management.
• Direct sales experience with The Home Depot or a similar home improvement retailer.
• Strong skills in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Home Depot systems and reporting tools (e.g., Supplier Hub, Partner Portal/IDM) and syndicated data platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and process management skills, with a keen eye for detail in pricing, item setup, and customer documentation.
• Strategic thinking capabilities.
• Determined approach to achieving goals.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong presentation skills, with experience addressing customers and internal leadership.
• Proven negotiation abilities, particularly concerning annual terms, pricing, and promotional programs.
• Capability to analyze POS, syndicated, and customer portal data to construct a compelling sales narrative.
• Willingness to travel 25–40% to the customer's Atlanta headquarters, trade shows, and field markets.
