
Senior Director of People

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead the People function throughout the organization, creating scalable practices that facilitate ongoing growth.
β’ Manage talent acquisition and internal recruiting activities, including hiring strategies, processes, and team performance assessments.
β’ Design and consistently enhance onboarding, employee development, and performance management initiatives.
β’ Ensure compliance with appropriate employment practices across a geographically dispersed workforce.
β’ Oversee the engagement of international employees and contractors, including employment and classification protocols.
β’ Create and maintain People policies, employee documentation, and HR systems.
β’ Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, compensation, and broader People strategies.
β’ Act as a senior contact for complex employee relations issues.
β’ Assess and enhance People processes, systems, and reporting as the organization expands.
β’ Assume additional People Operations responsibilities as the department and business develop.
β’ A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
β’ Relevant professional HR certification is a plus.
β’ Over 8 years of progressive experience in People or HR roles, including significant leadership responsibilities within a growing organization.
β’ Experience in building or scaling People programs in a high-growth, technology-driven, venture-backed, or similarly dynamic environment.
β’ Experience leading a People team or managing across various HR disciplines.
β’ Strong working knowledge of employment practices across multiple jurisdictions, particularly in North America and Europe.
β’ Experience supporting an international or geographically distributed workforce.
β’ Understanding of international contractor arrangements and employee classification issues.
β’ Experience collaborating with external employment partners, such as PEOs or similar providers.
β’ Experience overseeing talent acquisition or internal recruiting activities.
β’ Proven experience in developing onboarding, performance management, and employee development programs.
β’ Experience partnering with senior executives on organizational design, workforce planning, and People strategies.
β’ Strong understanding of HR operations, policies, compliance, and employee relations.
