Senior Director of Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the overall marketing strategy and annual planning that aligns with the company's revenue, budget, and growth goals.

• Oversee the marketing P&L and budget distribution across paid, owned, and earned channels.

• Promote data-driven decision-making through marketing attribution, customer analytics, and performance modeling.

• Deliver presentations on marketing performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

• Discover and implement strategic growth opportunities across various channels, partnerships, activations, and customer segments.

• Develop and manage the customer acquisition strategy utilizing paid media, SEO, email, SMS, and other channels.

• Generate content briefs and enhance storytelling, community growth, and campaign performance.

• Continuously optimize SEO and AI-driven content.

• Supervise paid media budgets and optimize expenditures based on channel performance and attribution modeling.

• Manage creator and influencer initiatives, including partner identification, contract negotiations, campaign briefs, and performance tracking.

• Cultivate marketing partnerships with Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, and other theme park collaborators.

• Negotiate marketing collaborations, content partnerships, and joint promotional opportunities.

• Act as the business lead and creator liaison at 6–8 creator activations annually, which includes travel to California and Florida.

• Investigate and implement AI-driven tools for content production, campaign performance, and customer engagement.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture the marketing organization.

• Manage relationships with agencies, freelancers, and strategic creator partners.

• Set team goals, KPIs, and accountability frameworks; conduct performance evaluations and development planning.

• Encourage experimentation, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and a customer-centric approach.

• Oversee brand strategy and content roadmap for Undercover Tourist.

• Develop distinct messaging and positioning while conducting competitive analysis.

• Ensure brand consistency and customer experience across web, email, social, paid, events, and partner channels.

• Manage the marketing technology stack, including content administration, SMS, GA4, attribution, automation, and AI tools.

• Assess and adopt martech solutions to enhance efficiency and campaign performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

• 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles.

• Proven success in managing marketing strategy, budget, and P&L in direct-to-consumer and e-commerce settings.

• Expertise in performance marketing across paid social platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube), SEO, email, and SMS.

• Hands-on experience in managing large media budgets and optimizing for CPA and ROAS.

• Experience in constructing and managing creator and influencer programs, including partner identification, contract negotiation, campaign management, and ROI evaluation.

• Strong skills in brand and content strategy.

• Ability to lead, develop, and inspire marketing teams.

• Experience in managing co-op marketing partnerships and negotiating joint promotional opportunities.

• Advanced analytical skills with marketing attribution modeling, GA4, customer analytics, and performance reporting.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a strategic approach and tactical execution capabilities.

• Strong executive presence and communication skills.

• A passion for travel and family experiences; enthusiasm for theme parks is a plus.

• A strong preference for being physically located in Austin, TX.
