This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Direct and expand regional civil engineering practices throughout the West Region, ensuring accountability for client service, team performance, financial results, quality, and sustainable growth.
• Formulate and implement regional practice strategies that align with business goals, market opportunities, and client needs.
• Enhance local brand visibility, operational density, cultural cohesion, and the regional market footprint.
• Spot growth opportunities in both existing and newly emerging markets.
• Construct, mentor, and cultivate high-performing civil engineering teams across different offices, disciplines, and practices.
• Foster a culture centered on accountability, ownership, collaboration, service, and continuous improvement.
• Fortify client relationships and establish Core States Group as a reliable advisor.
• Collaborate with market leaders and technical teams on strategic initiatives and regional opportunities.
• Articulate the company’s value proposition, which includes integrated delivery, responsiveness, technical excellence, speed to market, cost certainty, and practical business solutions.
• Advocate for strong delivery practices concerning scope, schedules, budgets, quality, client communication, and project execution.
• Leverage performance data, client feedback, and business insights to identify trends, rectify gaps, and enhance practice predictability.
• Develop leadership depth, nurture talent, elevate regional business performance, and enhance the company’s reputation across the West Region.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• Extensive civil engineering leadership experience, including managing client relationships, team leadership, program delivery, financial performance, and operational execution.
• Proven track record in leading national client programs, scaling delivery teams, enhancing operational performance, or managing complex client portfolios.
• Strong business and financial acumen, encompassing client growth opportunities, financial performance, staffing, resource planning, workload management, and operational priorities.
• In-depth understanding of civil engineering delivery for multi-site, national, or programmatic clients, including scope, schedule, budget, permitting, quality, and client communication.
• Background in civil site development, multi-site engineering, land development, infrastructure, national accounts, or similar growth markets.
• Capacity to lead through influence, build trust, align teams, mentor leaders, and communicate effectively with clients, teams, and company leadership.
• Proven ability and willingness to identify practical applications for company-approved AI tools.
• Capability to review AI-generated content for accuracy, safeguard confidential information, and maintain responsibility for the final work product.
• Attributes of ownership, sound judgment, accountability, humility, stewardship, and a servant leadership mindset.
• Professional Engineering license is strongly preferred.
• An MBA, advanced business degree, or demonstrated business leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Option for remote work across the western United States.
• Travel as required.
