Senior Director, Medical Strategy Lead – Obesity, Endocrinologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic medical and scientific expertise to IQVIA in the relevant specialty, subspecialty, or therapeutic domain.

• Initiate engagement with potential customers early in the process.

• Create proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

• Take part in client proposal bid defense meetings as the medical director and subject matter expert.

• Provide consultation throughout the research and development lifecycle and during clinical trials.

• Deliver independent customer solutions as needed.

• Develop clinical development plans.

• Implement group strategy and guide the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence.

• Collaborate across the organization to utilize IQVIA resources effectively.

• Operate independently from the therapeutic area head.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or within a CRO environment.

• Candidates from CROs should have held a senior strategic position with strong leadership skills and significant expertise in Obesity.

• A terminal degree (MD) and training in the pertinent therapeutic area are essential.

• Practical experience in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and strategies within the research and development therapeutic area.

• Board Certification is mandatory.

• Demonstrated exceptional business acumen to drive organizational results.

• Extensive industry knowledge and demonstrated organizational thought leadership.

• Willingness to travel nationally or internationally for at least 20% of the time.
