This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the complete proposal and deal development process from opportunity evaluation and pre-deal analysis to contract execution and subsequent performance assessment.
• Create business cases for significant national and regional opportunities, including evaluations of deal versus no-deal scenarios and assumptions regarding share shifts.
• Supervise term sheets, contract language, redlines, and collaborate with Legal and Market Access Strategy on contract drafting.
• Take ownership and enhance the Pricing Committee/deal approval process for key accounts.
• Lead or co-lead deal teams and formulate strategies for alignment with the Pricing Committee and Market Access.
• Ensure that proposals conform to the approved brand and channel contract strategies and guidelines.
• Direct the determination of optimal net pricing, opportunity sizing, margin impact analyses, and risk/benefit assessments across various channels including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and institutional.
• Collaborate with Finance, Gross-to-Net, forecasting, data/analytics, and claims operations to guarantee the accuracy of data utilization.
• Oversee post-deal analysis and contract performance dashboards that compare actual outcomes with forecasts.
• Manage documentation and repositories for proposals, contracts, amendments, executive committee presentations, and meeting minutes.
• Assist account teams with deal presentations and engage in customer meetings as required.
• Work alongside Market Access Strategy to implement contract strategies, rebate rates, positioning targets, and language constructs.
• Identify and promote automation, contract lifecycle tools, and the use of AI or bots for proposal drafting, document comparison, and metric generation.
• Mentor and develop the proposal and contracting team, ensuring cross-training and backup coverage.
• Formulate quantitative frameworks for Customer/Payer 360 views, gross-to-net revenue outcomes, gross profit implications, and competitive actions.
• Create annual recommendations for WAC changes and support pricing strategies for both launch and existing therapies.
• Optimize discount structures and develop programs that include eligibility requirements, value-based agreements, and discounts.
• Convert deal terms into legally binding contract language and coordinate operational execution.
• Present business cases to the Pricing Committee for deal approvals.
• Supervise contract drafting for payers, GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, and health systems.
• Maintain contract templates to minimize legal and financial risks while supporting compliance and auditing processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is required.
• An advanced degree such as an MBA, JD, or Master's in Economics is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing, analytics, or contracting.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing high-performing corporate teams.
• Familiarity with commercial payer and PBM contracting.
• Understanding of medical and pharmacy benefit strategies.
• Knowledge of value-based and outcomes-based agreements.
• Insight into market access strategy and lifecycle management.
• Awareness of gross-to-net and pricing implications.
• Understanding of innovative reimbursement models.
• Capability to lead cross-functional collaboration across Market Access, Finance, HEOR, Legal, and Commercial Analytics.
• Knowledge of U.S. market access involving commercial payers, PBMs, GPOs, specialty pharmacies, trade, and institutional customers.
• Familiarity with pricing, deal approval, contract drafting, analytics, and post-deal performance evaluation.
• Understanding of claims systems and customer portals.
• Knowledge of contract lifecycle tools and AI or bots in proposal and contract processes.
