This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +39 more states.
β’ Formulate and implement the global logistics strategy, covering distribution network design, warehousing, transportation, and 3PL/4PL operations.
β’ Oversee both company-managed and third-party warehouse/distribution operations along with global transportation.
β’ Create standardized logistics protocols, governance, operational procedures, performance metrics, and management routines across the global network.
β’ Utilize data and key performance indicators to enhance on-time delivery, cycle time, capacity, utilization, costs, and customer service.
β’ Manage carrier and logistics-provider performance while collaborating with Procurement on sourcing, contracting, capacity, and contingency planning.
β’ Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Delivery, Commercial, Quality, and regional teams to address logistics challenges, facilitate product launches and network modifications, and enhance end-to-end execution.
β’ Ensure adherence to quality, trade, customs, security, environmental health and safety, and company regulations.
β’ Spearhead logistics risk management and business continuity planning efforts.
β’ Promote process standardization, automation, systems enhancements, and the utilization of ERP, warehouse management, transportation management, and analytics tools.
β’ Create annual operating plans, budgets, resource allocations, and productivity roadmaps; oversee financial commitments and strive to lower overall logistics costs.
β’ Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team, including planning for succession and capability enhancement.
β’ Direct warehouse startups, site transfers, and 3PL/4PL implementations through operational readiness, cutover, and stabilization phases.
β’ Report directly to the VP of Global Customer Delivery.
β’ Engage in special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
β’ Must be at least 18 years old.
β’ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in supply chain, logistics, operations, business, engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
β’ Over 12 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or operations, encompassing substantial leadership roles.
β’ Proven experience in leading global or multi-regional transportation, warehousing, distribution, and third-party logistics operations.
β’ Direct experience managing global or multi-regional transportation, warehousing, distribution, and 3PL/4PL operations, including company-operated facilities.
β’ Familiarity with ERP and supply chain technologies, such as warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, automation, and analytics.
β’ In-depth understanding of global transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory control, and 3PL/4PL operations.
β’ Practical knowledge of regulated-industry quality systems and relevant global trade, customs, security, and transportation regulations.
β’ Strong financial and business insights, including budgeting, business case development, cost-to-serve analysis, contract economics, and productivity planning.
β’ Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, global setting while balancing customer service, compliance, risk, and cost considerations.
β’ Oracle experience is preferable.
β’ Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another regulated industry is an advantage.
β’ Professional certification in Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, CSCMP, or an equivalent is preferred.
β’ Typically requires travel 20β50% of the time.
