This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee a team of senior account leaders dedicated to biopharmaceutical manufacturers in the fields of oncology, rare diseases, and specialty therapies.
• Manage executive-level relationships with key manufacturer partners.
• Enhance client satisfaction, promote program growth, ensure launch excellence, and maintain long-term strategic alignment.
• Provide guidance to senior biopharma executives on commercialization strategies, market access, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy operations, launch planning, network strategies, analytics, and innovations.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical client relationships.
• Recognize opportunities, risks, and market changes that impact client success.
• Serve as the executive sponsor for a portfolio of key manufacturer partnerships.
• Build relationships with executives, brand teams, market access leaders, commercial leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead strategic account planning with a focus on growth, performance optimization, patient outcomes, and retention.
• Supervise executive business reviews, strategic planning sessions, launch governance meetings, and performance discussions.
• Directly manage and mentor strategic account leaders.
• Set performance expectations, coaching plans, development opportunities, and succession planning.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Support cross-functional alignment across operations, implementation, provider engagement, quality, analytics, patient services, technology, and business development.
• Offer executive consultation on specialty pharmacy strategies, commercialization planning, patient support services, network design, market access, and launch execution.
• Collaborate with manufacturers on product launches, new indications, line extensions, and lifecycle management.
• Utilize organizational and enterprise capabilities to enhance market uptake, patient access, and provider satisfaction.
• Act as an industry expert and thought leader on specialty pharmacy, oncology, rare diseases, payer dynamics, reimbursement trends, patient support innovations, and market conditions.
• Represent the organization at conferences, advisory boards, client meetings, and executive forums.
• Proactively identify and address risks affecting client satisfaction, patient experience, operational performance, or business growth.
• Manage executive-level issue resolution for urgent client concerns.
• Formulate mitigation strategies and action plans in response to market changes, competitive pressures, performance challenges, or regulatory developments.
• Ensure clear communication with internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Travel for client meetings, industry conferences, leadership meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, or equivalent) is preferred.
• A degree or comparable experience is necessary.
• Typically requires over 13 years of professional experience.
• At least 12 years of experience in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, market access, or a closely related industry.
• A minimum of 6 years of diversified leadership experience, including planning, communication, organizational skills, and people motivation, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of progressive leadership experience managing managers, directors, or senior-level individual contributors.
• Demonstrated success in supporting oncology, rare diseases, specialty therapeutics, or complex pharmaceutical commercialization programs.
• Proven track record in managing strategic biopharma partnerships and executive-level relationships.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence.
• Expertise in strategic account management.
• Skills in leadership and talent development.
• Knowledge of oncology and rare disease markets.
• Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations and commercialization strategies.
• Ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
• Understanding of financial and business acumen.
• Skills in risk identification and mitigation.
• Proficient in negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Capable of leading change and exerting organizational influence.

• The ideal candidate should reside in the Eastern or Central time zones.
• Approximately 25–40% travel is required.
