This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Safeguard and enhance the integrity and quality of AP exams, course curricula, and professional development materials for Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics.
• Oversee the development and final approval of assessment items and formats across various AP course subjects.
• Create, evaluate, revise, and manage formative and summative assessment content along with scoring resources.
• Effectively utilize generative AI to enhance the creation, review, fairness, validity, and efficiency of assessments.
• Train and collaborate with subject-matter experts, including university professors and high school educators.
• Act as a liaison between academic professionals and psychometricians.
• Facilitate Test Development Committee meetings and supervise contributors and reviewers within the committee.
• Lead annual AP Reading scoring sessions and generate publications intended for teachers and students.
• Oversee the validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and consistency of exams.
• Establish equitable, dependable, and valid cut scores in collaboration with psychometricians and AP staff.
• Offer functional leadership, training, mentoring, and consultation to subject experts.
• Enhance course frameworks and support the introduction of new AP products and instructional materials.
• Present, engage, and facilitate discussions with academic and membership audiences when necessary.
• A Master’s degree in Math, Statistics, or a closely related field is required.
• A Doctorate in the field is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Precalculus, Calculus, or Statistics.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the development of standardized assessments or related roles.
• Preferred experience with digital assessments and teaching methodologies.
• Awareness of contemporary trends in the discipline.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong technical skills and a customer-oriented approach.
• Excellent organizational and planning capabilities, including proofreading and attention to detail.
• Proficient in implementing processes and procedures, managing project plans and timelines, and maintaining tracking documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Capacity to provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Willingness to travel 6–8 times a year, as well as up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading.
• Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States.
• Openness to experimenting with and adopting AI-driven solutions, and the ability to learn new digital tools independently.
