This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee the Global Contracts Management team.
• Provide comprehensive global oversight of clinical site contract activities that support sponsored clinical trials on a worldwide scale.
• Develop and implement the global strategy, governance framework, operational model, policies, procedures, SOPs, templates, playbooks, and best practices pertaining to Clinical Site Contracts.
• Supervise the development, negotiation, execution, amendment, maintenance, and closure of global clinical site contracts.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex contractual negotiations and site-specific challenges.
• Identify contracting risks that impact study startup, enrollment, and execution, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Tax, Procurement, Clinical Outsourcing, CROs, vendors, and external institutions.
• Communicate the status of contracts, negotiation progress, key risks, and critical path issues to senior leadership and study stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment of negotiated budgets, payment terms, and contractual obligations with Site Payments, Finance, and Clinical Operations.
• Oversee governance and performance metrics of contract service providers, FSP partners, CROs, and external vendors.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, quality standards, productivity measures, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Drive process improvement, automation, data analysis, benchmarking, and optimization of contract lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, ICH-GCP requirements, company policies, legal standards, and industry best practices.
• Maintain inspection readiness, audit preparedness, quality standards, staffing, service levels, succession planning, and career development.
• Lead, mentor, recruit, onboard, train, coach, and manage the performance of a global Site Contracts organization.
• Strategic leadership in managing global clinical site contracting activities.
• Experience in overseeing clinical site contract agreements, including CTAs, investigator agreements, CDAs, MSAs, pharmacy, ancillary, consulting, and subcontractor agreements.
• Knowledge of clinical trial study startup, contracting risks, negotiation strategies, and contract lifecycle management.
• Ability to create global governance models, policies, procedures, SOPs, templates, playbooks, and best practices.
• Experience in collaboration with Clinical Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Tax, Procurement, CROs, vendors, and external institutions.
• Ability to analyze contract negotiation reports, financial metrics, operational performance indicators, and contracting intelligence.
• Experience in establishing KPIs, SLAs, quality standards, productivity measures, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, ICH-GCP requirements, legal standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management systems, workflows, automation, and reporting capabilities.
• Supervisory experience that includes recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, succession planning, workload balancing, resource allocation, and career development.
