This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Establish the Crane & Rigging Center of Excellence, transforming it from a nascent function into a well-regarded enterprise resource.

• Recruit the team, set the operational rhythm, and cultivate relationships with operating companies.

• Oversee a growing team of crane and rigging experts, which includes dedicated personnel, fractional contributors, and subject matter experts.

• Administer the CoE budget and achieve measurable value through enhanced utilization, cost avoidance, standards implementation, and incident reduction.

• Act as the representative of the CoE to Quanta operating company leadership, Blattner’s executive team, and Quanta corporate leadership.

• Facilitate crane expertise, standards, training, and fleet deployment across the operating companies of Quanta.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

• 12 or more years of leadership experience in crane and rigging operations, heavy lift planning, or construction equipment management in sectors such as heavy civil, power generation, renewable energy, or industrial construction.

• At least 9 years of experience in leading teams.

• Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time.

• Extensive knowledge of crane types, including lattice boom crawlers, all-terrain, rough terrain, boom trucks, and tower cranes, as well as the appropriate lift environments for each.

• Practical experience in multiple crane markets.

• Preferred: NCCCO certification, AEMP, CEMP, or similar equipment management credentials.

• Strongly preferred: Background in utility-scale renewable projects and at least one of the following areas: gas generation, data center construction, heavy industrial, or high-voltage transmission.
