📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the long-term vision and strategy for the Cost Accounting division.

• Drive transformation and ongoing enhancement of cost accounting processes, systems, controls, and reporting.

• Establish inventory, costing, and operational accounting practices that facilitate scaling and growth.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure alignment of cost accounting strategies with company goals.

• Cultivate organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and leadership coaching.

• Oversee global inventory accounting, product costing, COGS, and supply chain accounting.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for inventory, manufacturing, and operations.

• Guarantee precise accounting for standard costs, purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, warranty reserves, and inventory valuation.

• Direct quarterly and annual audit support while maintaining SOX-compliant internal controls.

• Lead operational forecasting in collaboration with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, FP&A, and Finance leadership.

• Create models and processes to enhance forecasts for inventory, manufacturing costs, COGS, and supply chain expenditures.

• Provide strategic insights regarding product costs, margins, supply chain risks, inventory trends, and operational performance.

• Assess business initiatives, investments, manufacturing decisions, and opportunities for cost optimization.

• Deliver financial analysis and recommendations to inform executive decision-making and operational strategy.

• Modernize processes via automation, system improvements, and analytics-driven reporting.

• Collaborate with IT and business systems teams to enhance ERP functionality, reporting, and data quality.

• Implement scalable reporting and analytics for inventory, product profitability, manufacturing performance, and operational efficiencies.

• Foster technology adoption to minimize manual efforts and enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Serve as the primary finance partner for Operations and Supply Chain leadership.

• Translate intricate financial data into actionable business insights.

• Communicate financial risks, opportunities, and operational performance to executive leadership.

• Lead and nurture a high-performing accounting and finance team through subordinate managers and senior individual contributors.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.

• At least 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with considerable cost accounting experience in a manufacturing, hardware, or supply chain setting.

• A minimum of 7 years of leadership experience managing managers and accounting teams.

• Extensive expertise in cost accounting, standard costing methodologies, inventory accounting, manufacturing accounting, supply chain finance, variance analysis, forecasting and financial planning, and financial reporting and controls.

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance standards.

• Experience with large ERP platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling and data analytics.

• Proven capability to develop strategies and provide direction across multiple functional areas.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex organizational and process transformation projects.

• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and foster alignment among diverse stakeholder groups.

• Ability to navigate effectively in ambiguous, complex, and fast-paced business environments.

• Exceptional skills in communication, collaboration, and relationship-building.

• Proven track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Public accounting experience is advantageous.

• Travel requirements are less than 5% per year.
