Accounting Analyst – Civil Litigation Expert Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Examine court proceedings and documentation associated with civil litigation expert services.

• Assess contracts, bank statements, financial statements, and accounting records.

• Conduct calculations, reconciliations, financial analyses, and create calculation schedules.

• Detect discrepancies, inconsistencies, and possible irregularities.

• Draft expert reports, technical opinions, technical reports, and respond to inquiries from the court.

• Arrange documents, evidence, and information to substantiate findings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Current registration with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC).

• Experience in forensic accounting or civil litigation analysis.

• Understanding of general, financial, and asset accounting.

• Expertise in financial calculations, reconciliations, and development of calculation schedules.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Basic familiarity with procedural law pertinent to forensic accounting.

• Experience in preparing expert reports, opinions, and technical documentation.

• Strong technical writing abilities and capability to interpret legal and accounting documents.

• Experience in managing case requests and meeting procedural deadlines.

• Preferred: background in forensic accounting, accounting, auditing, or consulting firms.

• Preferred: experience serving as an expert witness or technical assistant in court settings.

• Preferred: knowledge of the Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure as it relates to expert services.

• Preferred: familiarity with Brazilian Accounting Standards relevant to forensic accounting tasks.

• Preferred: understanding of electronic court systems such as PJe and e-SAJ.

• Preferred: experience with court-awarded calculations, monetary adjustments, and interest calculations.
