Civil Litigation Forensic Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assess court proceedings and documents associated with civil forensic evaluations.

• Examine contracts, financial statements, reports, and accounting records.

• Conduct calculations, reconciliations, financial analyses, and create calculation schedules.

• Detect discrepancies, inconsistencies, and possible irregularities.

• Draft expert reports, opinions, technical documents, and replies to expert inquiries.

• Arrange documents, evidence, and information to substantiate conclusions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Current registration with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC).

• Background in forensic accounting or civil litigation analysis.

• Understanding of general, financial, and balance-sheet accounting.

• Expertise in financial calculations, reconciliations, and calculation schedules.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.

• Basic understanding of procedural law as it pertains to forensic accounting.

• Experience in preparing expert reports, opinions, and technical documents.

• Strong technical writing abilities and capability to interpret legal and accounting materials.

• Experience in managing assignments and meeting procedural deadlines.

• Preferred: background at a forensic accounting, accounting, audit, or consulting firm.

• Preferred: experience acting as an expert witness or technical assistant in court.

• Preferred: knowledge of the Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure related to forensic accounting.

• Preferred: understanding of Brazilian Accounting Standards concerning forensic accounting activities.

• Preferred: familiarity with electronic court systems like PJe and e-SAJ.

• Preferred: experience with court calculations, monetary adjustments, and interest.
